The Georges Haligua Cohen Foundation, established in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is a private,
non-profit charity with the sole purpose of contributing to human well-being and
the progress of society. Over the years, program objectives and emphases have been
modified to meet the changing opportunities and problems of our society, but the
Foundations basic goal of advancing human welfare remains constant. The Foundation
has grant-making interests in the art, civic affairs, economic development, education,
environment and human services. Since 2008 the foundation has been increasing its
focus on child welfare on an international scale.
Children are the inheritors of our future. About 1 billion children around the planet
are suffering in unacceptable standards of living, according to Unicef, 22,000 die
every day due to the harsh conditions in which they face.
Global Reach
The foundation reaches across borders in developing countries to bring light, financial
assistance and education to those in need.
The George Haligua Cohen Foundation does not accept donations as it’s entirely funded
by Dr. Haligua Cohen, however we can provide help in choosing a charitable organization
that will be able to reflect your contribution to its fullest. Please refer to Donations
